Founded on 7th September 1941 by Shri Baburaoji Gholap, PDEA's vision is to extend quality education to even the most rural corners of Pune District guided by the motto "Benefit and Happiness of the Society" — Bahujan Hitaay, Bahujan Sukhaay.

Backed by notable leaders like Annasaheb Awate and Mamasaheb Mohol, PDEA has grown under the leadership of Hon. Shri Ajitdada Pawar, current President and Dy. Chief Minister of Maharashtra.

Today, PDEA runs a wide network of institutions including: Professional, Senior College, Secondary School, and CBSE School across Arts, Commerce, and Science streams.
