The Pune District Education Association (PDEA) was founded on 7th September 1941 by visionary educator and social reformer Shri Baburaoji Gholap. His mission was revolutionary yet simple — to bring the light of knowledge to the furthest corners of rural Pune.
Born out of the necessity to provide affordable and accessible education to children of farmers and laborers, PDEA has grown from a single school into a mammoth educational conglomerate serving all strata of society.
Today, under the visionary leadership of Hon. Shri Ajitdada Pawar, PDEA continues to pioneer modern pedagogy while staying true to its foundational values.

Founded on 7th September 1941 by Shri Baburaoji Gholap, PDEA's vision is to extend quality education to even the most rural corners of Pune District guided by the motto "Benefit and Happiness of the Society" — Bahujan Hitaay, Bahujan Sukhaay.
Backed by notable leaders like Annasaheb Awate, Mamasaheb Mohol, and Late Hon. Ajitdada Pawar, PDEA has continued its journey of educational excellence under the leadership of Hon. Mrs. Sunetra Ajitdada Pawar, current President and Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra.
Today, PDEA runs a wide network of institutions including Professional Colleges, Senior Colleges, Secondary Schools, and CBSE Schools across Arts, Commerce, and Science streams.
